On May 19, 1999 "Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace" was released in Theaters.
This was the beginning of "Lost in the Wilderness"…………..

Writer Director Jack Venturo and Justin Duffy saw "Star Wars" 6 times on Opening Day buying Tickets in advanced for the premiere's first 6 showings and being on the Evening News after being first in a line of 80 people at a special midnight opening of Toys "R" Us for the release of the New Star Wars figures.

Jack had been a fan of "Star Wars" for all of his Life and in summer 1999 he started writing "Lost in the Wilderness" as an homage to "Star Wars" then called "Lost in the Woods" and was also known as "Lost in the Wild" while working with The Home Shopping Network he started raising Funds and Working Capitol to get the project off the ground, by Winter 1999 The Cast was chosen and the Equipment was on its way, being shipped from different companies and shooting started on January 2000.

On February "Kill Theory" was hired to do the original Motion Picture Soundtrack along with six of their songs they would go along to write three more for the Movie.

Cinematographer Shawn Bonjiorno approached Writer Director Jack Venturo after seeing "Stanley 2 The Legacy" and asked if he could participate in anyway, Jack gave him the job of Cinematographer / Steadycam Operator after testing him on the Equipment.

Jack Venturo approached Creative Director for the Film Paradiso St pete Beach Theatre Richard Hughes and offered to have "Lost in the Wilderness" Premiere that Summer, Richard Hughes naturally being Skeptical about signing an agreement on releasing a movie in Theatres when it was not even finished and it was Still in Production.

Jack quickly cut a deal in which Richard's friend's Band would play 2 songs and open for "Kill Theory" which was to play the Theme Song for "Lost in the Wilderness" before the Premiere, He also guaranteed he could at least fill half the theatre and letting The House keep ALL concession stand Profits if Jack could keep the Movie's earnings, They agreed and on June 22nd at 10 pm the now titled "Lost in the Wilderness Quest for Episode I" premiered including behind the scenes pictures in the lobby, Free gifts to Pre sold ticket holders, autographed pictures of the cast, Merchandise for sale, and Live performance by "Kill Theory".

Investors of the Movie and the Company afcourse where very happy with a very successful Premiere having a line form around the theatre, making up its production cost on opening night and having an almost sold out show filling up almost 300 of the 528 seats in the house with all kinds of people, young and old.
"It was more than a premiere, it was a celebration" a fan later said.

Afcourse Getting the movie to its Final Debut and Making it are two different stories all together.

"Lost in the Wilderness Quest for Episode I" was made on a moderately low Budget with a Full cast including Writer Director Jack Venturo, Justin Duffy, Jason Dunkman, Dwight Bynum Jr, Georges Gallandre-Lebhar, Kitt Tran, Alice Stringer, Esther Bozarth , Michael Simmons and Edward Wylie and Stephen Ball with several Supporting Characters.
After Writing the script Moviegod Productions Entertainment had to buy New Equipment, being the third movie the company made and the first non-sequel of the "Stanley Series" it had to have a different look and feel to it, and It was decided very early on that instead of the still shots of "Natural Born Stanley" and "Stanley 2 The Legacy" "Lost in the Wilderness" would be shot entirely on Steadycam and would have the gentile flow of the Glidecam but not loose the crazy mayhem comedy style that it had.

"One of the earliest decisions that was made at the beginning of the film was HOW was the chicken going to blow up and WHO was going to do it "
- Jack Venturo 2000

Mike "Mike-a-Bomber" Bass was hired By Jack Venturo to create the "Chicken Explosion" Scene very early on, and started working right away on the different kinds of Explosives that where available.

The movie was being filmed on location in St. Petersburg Florida in Summer of 2000, one of the hottest summers in a long time, the woods actually caught fire because of the heat and the lack of moisture, so a lot of the Fireworks and Explosive stores where forced to be closed.

Ziploc Bags filled with Crimson red acrylic paint, fake blood, and spray paint where used inside the hallow shell of the paper made mold chicken to give the effect of the guts and Insides blowing up.

Alkaseltzers and sprite where used to make the chicken foam at the mouth.

The Chicken Explosion as very successful but after it blew up it quickly caught fire and started to spread, before getting out of control the Safety Inspector put out the fire

The next scene that was very questionable by the cast very early on was the scene that was described in the script only as "Drinking Piss", in which the guys have been lost for 1 month and influenced by Kevin Costner and "Waterworld" they decide to drink Piss in order to survive.

Afcourse Piss is too dangerous to drink and plain out disgusting, so five bottles of Apple Juice was used instead it has the look and consistency and it tastes great, but with drinking large amounts of Apple Juice come other problems one being that Apple Juice burns your eyes more than shampoo and two, it is a great laxative so that was the only scene shot that day and production was postponed for the next two days so the Actors could recover.
