"Stanley 2 - The Legacy" Premiered on February 13, 1999 and in 2001 it was decided to go back Clean up, Restore, and Reedit the movie.

With Moviegod Production Entertainment's Move from its old Florida Studios to its new, more enhanced and Digital Studios in Los Angeles came the idea to really go back and rework the movie.

The first step in the creating the Special Edition was restoring the original footage, which time had a nasty effect on.

Moviegod Productions Entertainment had to open two new divisions "Stanley Digital Sound" and "SES Digital" (Named after the Puppets Stanley Seally and Eddie from "Stanley 2 - The Legacy")

"SES Digital" in charge of restoring and remastering the Video and Optical part of the film.
"Stanley Digital Sound" in charge of only the Audio and surround sound capabilities.

Moviegod Productions Entertainment created a partnership with Chris Roth Productions and with more facilities at Chris Roth Studios the restoration and remastering of the original film began.

With the Remastering into place, the new scenes and key sequences needed to be shot and one of the things that was not able to be done before was a Trailer of the Film, so Actor Dan Cook was hired by Writer Director Jack Venturo to lend his voice for the Preview for the Re Mastered Special Edition Re-release of

"Stanley 2 - The Legacy".

Along with the restoration of the Movie a new scene was added to the original Movie.
For the first time ever you can see the Restored Enhanced, Extended, Unrated and Uncensored Controversial Puppet Love Scene and Mating Sequence that was previously Banned for release and viewing in its complete and uncut entirety.

Also new to the Special Criterion Edition of "Stanley 2 - The Legacy" is the Brunswick Georgia Footage that was actually shot on location in St. Simons Island and Christ Church. Now for the first time you can actually see the Crypt Father Hazzard is talking about The Graveyard where Thorton Muggins lives and the church in which he and Mateo created Stanley's Mother Sherry.

"It couldn't be done before due to the time, but along with recutting the film, taking out the old clips, reshooting the new scenes, and enhancing the story, in total adding about fifteen minutes of Special Edition Never Before Seen Footage I am really satisfied with it now."
